Brian Ballenger started painting with oils while attending Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, in the 1980s.  After graduating from Wittenberg with a Bachelor's degree in art and psychology, Brian earned a Master's degree in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA.

  Brian's paintings have been in the 2018 Midyear Exhibition at The Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, OH, and the 2018 and 2019 Fine Arts Exhibitions at the Ohio State Fair, Columbus, OH, as well as the Toledo Area Artists Exhibition in 1985 at The Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, Ohio.  Venues for solo exhibitions include The Ohio State University Faculty Club in 2020, Sharon Weiss Gallery, Columbus, OH, in 2017, and The Ann Miller Gallery at Wittenberg University, Springfield, OH, also in 2017.
